AIR – inspiration research phase week 1
In order to find a starting point for our project this quarter, our class is accumulating an arsenal of inspiration, and case studies this week.
My group is looking into material effects in actual built architecture or installation architecture that are in the field of inspiration (Air). Trying to find something that engages people, air, or light and changes -not robotically but by employing an effortless/kinetic technique for movement.
Here is what I’ve found so far:
Theo Jansen – Kinetic Sculptor
All works by Ned Kahn Check out Fire/Light and Wind.
Maison Martin Margiela, Beverly Hills, CA by Johnston Marklee
“Digital Cloud” in London.
